Karnataka sex scandal: Woman claims Revanna forced her to strip and raped her mother during video calls

Another woman has made damning allegations against suspended Janata Dal (Secular) Party leader Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna.

The woman, whose identity reportedly remains protected, revealed that her mother was raped by the JD(S) leader at Revanna’s residence in Bengaluru around four to five years ago.

The woman alleged that Prajwal Revanna not only raped her mother, but that he also manipulated her into undressing over video calls between 2020 and 2021. She claimed he would threaten to harm her mother and her and force her to take off her clothes.

“He would always call me and ask me to take off my clothes. He called my mother’s cell phone and forced me to answer the video calls. When I refused, he threatened to harm me and my mother,” she said, as quoted by India Today.

“Our family supported us when they came to know about the incidents and then we filed a complaint,” she added.

She revealed that her mother was not only “raped and sexually molested by Prajwal Revanna, but was also sexually molested by HD Revanna.”

“Prajwal always threatened my mother that if she did not cooperate, he would take away my father’s (her husband’s) job, make him unemployed and even rape me (her daughter),” the woman said.


She also said her father was fired from his job because of the complaint.

“She (my mother) came home only once in four to five months. She was harassed so much that she only called us late at night, around 1 or 2 in the morning. She hardly spoke to us. They treated.” “My mother was a slave and attacked my father,” she claimed.

The woman called Revanna a “habitual offender” and also alleged that her family was forced to sell their land due to constant harassment.

According to the report, the woman also confirmed that Revanna, who served as MP from Hassan in Karnataka, would also sexually harass female domestic helps at his residence.

“Yes, it is true that Revanna sexually harassed the maids on the pretext of giving them fruits while Prajwal raped my mother.”

“So far only three people have come forward and spoken publicly about these incidents. Three other staff members have not spoken about these atrocities. They also sexually abused her,” she added.
