Buffalo Sabers’ chances of advancing in NHL draft lottery

Every team that missed the playoffs this season has a chance to move into 10 spots in this year’s draft in Tuesday night’s NHL Draft Lottery. This includes the Buffalo Sabres.

The Sabers have a 3% chance of moving from the No. 11 pick in this year’s draft to the No. 1 pick. The Sabers most recently won the draft lottery in 2018, when they selected defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, and in 2021, when they selected defender Owen. Power.

The San Jose Sharks have the best odds of winning the lottery. Boston University forward Macklin Celebrini is widely considered the top prospect in the draft.

Last year, the Chicago Blackhawks won the lottery after finishing with the third-worst record in the league and selected forward Connor Bedard with the first overall pick.

The NHL Draft Lottery will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the NHL Network studio in Secaucus, New Jersey.
