A woman died after she was shot in the back near a deli in Philadelphia’s Logan neighborhood, police said

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An investigation is underway after a woman was killed by gunfire near a deli in Philadelphia’s Logan neighborhood Saturday evening.

Police responded to the deli in the 4800 block of North Broad Street around 4:45 p.m. and said a 32-year-old woman had been shot once in the back. She was pronounced dead by medics at Albert Einstein Medical Center around 5:17 p.m.

The motive for the shooting is currently unknown.

Officials said the deli was secured for investigation, no arrests were made and no weapons were seized.
