GBI investigating after 14-year-old was found dead in Pembroke

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot at an apartment complex. It happened Friday at Miller Homes, just off Dubois Street. Pembroke officers initially responded and determined the unidentified boy had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. PPD requested the GBI to intervene and lead the investigation. The boy’s body was taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
