A man accused of falling at the Pittsburgh Marathon was charged last year in a similar incident

Channel 11 has learned that a man who was just charged with burnouts in front of police at a downtown intersection was charged in a similar incident last summer.

Police say Jason Stotlemyer fell through a fence erected for the Pittsburgh Marathon. This is the same person who does stunts at the Ft. hit a patrol car. Pitt Bridge.

We told you earlier this week that a video was circulating on social media showing a gray Dodge Charger performing stunts at the intersection of Stanwix, Forbes and Liberty downtown.

According to a criminal complaint, Stotlemyer posts videos of himself doing “street takeovers” in which he drives a matching car. Both downtown and Ft. The Pitt Bridge incidents involved around 50 cars.

Channel 11 was there last August when Stotlemyer checked in after the incident at Ft. presented to the police. Pitt Bridge.

Channel 11 has reached out to Stotlemyer’s attorney, Casey White. He sent us this statement:

“Having spoken to Mr. Stotlemyer over the course of the past week when rumors of his involvement were circulating; I’m surprised that charges were filed. We look forward to resolving these allegations in court.”

People we spoke to believe there should be harsher penalties for such incidents.

“I feel like there are more things that need to happen at this point,” Adam Collier said.

“I would do something to restrict his license or something,” Josh Poe said.

Stotlemyer is charged with “riot” and other lesser charges.

White told Channel 11 he was making arrangements for Stotlemyer to turn himself in.
