Third person arrested in Worcester shooting that left 17-year-old dead – NBC Boston

More than five months after a shooting in Worcester, Massachusetts, left a 17-year-old dead, a man has been arrested.

Police said Patrick Mathieu, 22, of Worcester, was arrested Monday on charges including armed assault with the nature of murder, armed assault with the nature of robbery, assault with a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a permit, using a firearm in the commission of a crime, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

Mathieu is the third person charged in connection with the fatal shooting on Shannon Street on Feb. 12. The shooting killed a 17-year-old boy whose name was not released by police.

On February 23, Gardner police arrested 21-year-old Kidam Oquendo and 18-year-old Alexis Medeiros, both of Worcester.

Oquendo faces multiple counts of weapons possession and assault, and Medeiros is charged with accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice.
