Cavan Biggio’s Dad Has Hilarious, Conflicted Reaction To His Son’s Home Run

Watching your child hit a home run has to be something special, whether it’s in the minor leagues or the major leagues. But on Saturday night, Craig Biggio seemed to have very mixed emotions watching his son, Cavan, hit a home run at Minute Maid Park.

Craig is a Houston Astros legend. He played 20 years for the franchise and was named to seven All-Star teams, winning five Silver Sluggers and four Gold Gloves in what turned out to be a Hall of Fame career. He still holds the most hits, total bases and WAR in Astros history, as well as the second-most RBIs. His number 7 was retired by the franchise in 2008.

The problem is, his son plays for the Dodgers. When Cavan hit a home run Saturday against Houston to tie the score, Craig didn’t seem to know how to react:

It’s understandable. It’s hard to dedicate your entire career to one team and watch your pride and joy grow to the point of hitting home runs against the team you love.

The game ended in a Houston victory thanks to a home run by Alex Bregman. So, in the end, Craig won it all. His son hit a home run, but his longtime team came away with the victory. Win-win.
