James City County police search for man wanted in connection with sexual assault – Daily Press

JAMES CITY – Police are searching for a man suspected of a sexual assault last month.

According to a news release, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. April 22 outdoors near the Howard Johnson Hotel in the 6400 block of Richmond Road. The alleged victim is not believed to have known her attacker, James City County police spokesman Tayleb Brooks said. No further details were disclosed.

Nijhad “Jhad” Johnson, 21, has warrants charging him with objecting to sexual penetration and kidnapping, Brooks said. Johnson is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants with graffiti print, black shoes and a black durag.

Johnson’s last known address is 1979 Greenleaf Drive in Norfolk, police said.
