In the past, these animated depictions have predicted the rise of the Republican leader. One photo that has just surfaced is said to be from a 2015 episode called “Bart to The Future.” In the image, a figure that looks very similar to Trump can be seen speaking on a stage when he is shot. Given The Simpsons’ track record of predicting truths, social media users are now debating how the outcome of the actual incident differs from the cartoon’s portrayal. Trump seemed to defy the so-called Simpsons curse and returned home safely after the failed assassination attempt.
