LPD identifies motorcyclist killed in West Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – Police have identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 77.

Lincoln police said Friday that the victim was 48-year-old Robert Finley of Lincoln.

The accident occurred on Thursday around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of the highway and West Pioneers Boulevard.

A southbound car attempted to turn left onto West Pioneers when it collided with Finley’s motorcycle.

Finley, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver of the car suffered minor injuries.

Both drivers had a green light, police said. The driver of the car told police that the sun was shining in his eyes.
