One dead after accident in Killeen, Texas, on July 6

KILLEEN, Texas – One person was killed in a car crash in Killeen on July 6, according to Killeen police.

Killeen police said officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of E Central Texas Expressway around 3:57 a.m.

Police believe a red Pontiac sedan left the roadway at a “high rate of speed” and rolled several times before coming to a stop. The driver, a 31-year-old man, was killed in the accident.

Police have not yet released the name of the driver, but next of kin will be notified.

KPD said the traffic unit is investigating the accident.
