Vaughan chiropractor charged with sexual assault

Police said they received information that a person was sexually assaulted during a chiropractic visit to a clinic in a private home

A 50-year-old Vaughan man has been charged after a victim reported being sexually assaulted during a chiropractic visit to a clinic, York Regional Police said.

On Tuesday, June 25, investigators received information that a victim had been sexually assaulted at a clinic located at a private residence near Brownridge Drive and Wade Gate, police said in a news release.

On Wednesday, July 3, Evan Kogon was charged by police with sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be other victims who are encouraged to come forward.

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police encourages anyone who may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offenses and offenders can be prosecuted long after the date of the offense. If you are a victim of a sexual assault, you can report the incident online if:

  • You are not in immediate danger
  • The person who attacked you is not present
  • There is no evidence that can be collected by the police (blood, semen, saliva, etc.). Evidence can be collected up to 12 days after the sexual assault.
  • You have access to a private email address that the suspect does not have access to.
