Sean Diddy Combs faces new lawsuit following reports of federal investigation and possible indictment against the music mogul

(NewsNation) — Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another sexual misconduct lawsuit, the 10th such case against the music mogul since November.

In the new lawsuit, a woman accuses Diddy of grooming her for sex trafficking at his “white parties” between 2004 and 2009.

The lawsuit was filed after Diddy’s lawyers were informed last week that he was under federal investigation.

Two sources familiar with the situation confirmed to NBC News that federal investigators are presenting evidence against Combs to a grand jury in the Southern District of New York. The nature of the evidence and the charges against Combs are currently unclear.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has not confirmed the investigation. Grand jury proceedings are usually held in secret.

Sources told NewsNation that any charges could possibly be dropped within the next two to three weeks.

This news came three months after his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by authorities.

In May, a video surfaced showing the rapper attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. Combs previously denied any violence toward Ventura when she sued him last year, but later apologized on social media when the video leaked.

While it doesn’t look like Diddy’s legal troubles are going to abate anytime soon, he maintains his innocence of the allegations against him and has yet to comment on the latest lawsuit against him.
