Fatal truck accident on Route 104 near Grove City

One person was killed in a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck Wednesday morning in Jackson Township near Grove City.

A 2001 Ford F-150 pickup was traveling south on Route 104 around 8:45 a.m. when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2024 Kenworth tractor-trailer that was traveling north, according to According to an accident report from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The Kenworth went off the west side of the two-lane roadway and came to a stop, while the Ford ended up in both lanes.

The driver of the Ford, who authorities did not name pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene by Jackson Township paramedics. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, the sheriff’s office said.

Route 104 remained closed at the scene for several hours until about 2:30 p.m. while officers investigated the accident, the sheriff’s office said.
