Irving man stabs girlfriend, police say – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Irving police said they arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman to death.

Police said they responded to an “unknown person” call in the 3100 block of Walnut Hill Ln. around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, July 1.

When officers arrived, they found 42-year-old Sucel Cuba Gomez dead with numerous stab wounds.

In a news release, police said the suspect, Yunier Aldazabal, 44, fled the scene in a vehicle. At about 9 a.m., police found his vehicle in a parking lot in the 2800 block of W. Irving Blvd. Police said Aldazabal was inside.

The officers arrested him without incident.

They learned that Aldazabal and the victim “had a relationship.”

The investigation is still ongoing and the police are asking for further information.
