Truck loaded with liquid detergent overturns in Holguín

A truck allegedly transported Liquid detergent was involved in an accident this Saturday and ended up on a highway in Holguin. Images shared via the Facebook group “Accidentes Buses & Camiones” showed a Soviet ZIL truck overturned on the Mayarí highway.

“Mayarí highway, Holguín, Los Haticos. I don’t know the causes,” explained a user of this group, who shared photos of the incident that occurred near the Consejo Popular Los Haticos, within the Municipality of Báguanos.

A video shared by the group mentioned above showed the police and fire department on the scene directing traffic and using water hoses to spread the liquid that had leaked from the truck, causing foam to form on the road.

“This truck belongs to the UCM (University of Medical Sciences)I think. It was loaded with liquid detergent,” one user commented on the Facebook post. The occupants of a vehicle that was driving through the area and recorded the video also commented that the liquid spilled from the truck was detergent.
