East Meadow woman arrested after fatal drunk driving accident in Old Bethpage

An East Meadow woman accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol and causing a fatal crash in Old Bethpage Friday night faces multiple charges.

According to police, 64-year-old Cheryl Bergenstock was driving on Round Swamp Road when she collided with the car driven by 82-year-old Alan Goldsand.

According to authorities, Goldsand was flown to a hospital by helicopter and later died.

According to police, the charges against Bergenstock include drunken driving, second-degree assault and second-degree assault.
