Ocean View man arrested for home renovation fraud

LEWES, Delaware – An Ocean View man has been charged in connection with a home renovation fraud investigation.

On Thursday, a Lewes resident reported that he entered into a contract with a man named Jeremy Bowen in February to build a pool and fence. The resident allegedly paid a $16,450 deposit, and after receiving the deposit, the victim allegedly never heard from Bowen again. The victim contacted police after many attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.

On Friday, detectives arrested Bowen and charged him with home improvement fraud over $1,500, a felony because the victim was over 62 years old.

According to police, Bowen, who currently does business under the company names Delmarva Landscape Solutions and Shoreline Escapes, has been arrested eight times since 2017 and charged with home improvement fraud.
