PROCTORVILLE, OH (WOWK) — The woman who died in Monday morning’s Proctorville fire has been identified.


According to a report from the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office on the Proctorville Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page, 32-year-old Adrienne Goodwin of Proctorville was found in the home on Stanely Street.

They say she died from smoke inhalation, with no evidence of foul play.

According to the coroner, she also had mobility problems due to chronic health problems.

The Ohio Fire Marshal and Lawrence County Coroner’s Office investigation is ongoing.

Proctorville VFD Assistant Fire Chief Gary Whitley Jr. said the emergency call came in just before 6 a.m. Monday. Another person in the home was able to escape unharmed.
