Car collides with KFD ambulance on Sunday morning | Local news

Shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday, Killeen police and firefighters were called to the corner of East Elms Road and South WS Young Drive for an accident involving a fire department rescue vehicle and a four-door red sedan.

The driver of the car, who wished to remain anonymous, was visibly shaken at the scene but insisted when asked by the Herald that he suffered no physical injuries in the crash. The driver told the Herald he was the only passenger in the car and was traveling eastbound on East Elms Road. According to the driver, the emergency vehicle was traveling northbound on South WS Young Drive when it crossed the intersection and pulled in front of the car that had failed to yield.
