A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of Josiah Pastories, a Norwin University graduate and former football player and wrestler who was killed in a car crash in northern Butler County Thursday morning.

You can make donations here.

Pastories, 19, was on his way to his welding job when the accident occurred.

He was driving north on Kittanning Pike when he lost control of his Nissan SUV on a right turn and veered into the southbound lanes. He drove down a hill and struck a tree.

Pastories, known for his passion for welding and for telling funny stories in the locker room, graduated last year.

His brother Justice set up the fundraising page, which had raised more than $7,500 as of Friday afternoon. He said the money raised will help cover funeral expenses.

Josiah Pastories was a 6’1″, 280-pound two-way lineman when he played football for the Knights. He wrestled in the 280-pound class.

The Norwin football program issued a statement saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our beloved Norwin football graduate of the Class of 2023, Josiah Pastories. His passion, dedication and spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace, No. 72.”
