The 10 most common crimes Tennessee residents are arrested for

JACKSON, Tennessee – A new study reveals the ten most common crimes for which people are arrested in Tennessee.

An Omega Law Group study used FBI data to determine which crimes most people will be arrested for in each state in 2021-2022.

In Tennessee, drug abuse violations topped the list with 81,188 recorded arrests during this period.

In second place was simple assault, followed by driving under the influence of alcohol.

The study also examined the demographic composition of those arrested, which showed that 70% were men and 30% were women.

Finally, the data shows that the 30- to 34-year-old age group is most frequently arrested in Tennessee, accounting for 16% of all arrests.
