One dead after collision between pickup truck and tractor-trailer in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning left one person dead on an Ohio road in Jackson Township.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a collision occurred at 8:45 a.m. when a red 2001 Ford F-150 struck a red 2024 Kenworth tractor-trailer head-on on State Route 104, south of Hibbs Road , smashed together. Officers said the Ford F-150 crossed the center line and entered the northbound lanes and the path of the Kenworth truck.


The Kenworth reportedly left the west side of the road and came to a stop, while the Ford came to a stop in both lanes. Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with Grove City police officers and Jackson Township emergency responders, responded to the scene and determined the driver’s death.

Authorities have not released the name of the deceased pending notification of next of kin and the driver of the Kenworth was examined by doctors and did not suffer any injuries.
