2 women arrested on prostitution and other charges at Opelousas spa | Crime

OPELOUSAS, Louisiana — St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said his office has received numerous complaints from citizens in recent months about the Green Spa at 628 Creswell Lane in Opelousas. Complainants said female employees were engaging in sexual acts in exchange for money.

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, St. Landry Parish Narcotics Agents, with assistance from the St. Landry Parish Criminal Investigation Division, executed a search warrant at Green Spa. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators arrested two Asian women, identified as Xiaoxia Li aka Yuang Yong and Luyanxing Couras, and a man who was questioned at the scene and released.

Detectives subsequently seized two devices valued at $2,487, two digital video recorders, seven cell phones, an external hard drive, an iPad, two checkbooks for an individual who was not present, a handwritten ledger, numerous business and professional documents, and an ATM.

The investigation revealed that the women operated a brothel disguised as a massage parlor. Investigators discovered that the two women offered sexual favors in exchange for cash. After interviewing several customers, investigators discovered that the women solicited their customers to perform various sexual acts in exchange for cash. The ATM was conveniently located in the lobby of the business, allowing customers to withdraw cash and pay for the sexual acts using their debit or credit cards.

The two suspects were uncooperative and stated that they spoke only very limited English.

They were both taken to the SLPSO jail and later released on bail.

This case is still open and further arrests are possible.

Sheriff Guidroz noted that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
