Shreveport woman arrested for assault after biting incident

The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) was able to intervene in an incident of assault yesterday morning.

On June 9 at approximately 12:44 a.m., SPD officers responded to a 911 call in the 400 block of Abilene Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a victim who had bite wounds to his arm. The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Tiffany Wordwas immediately arrested.

Word was accused a charge of second degree assault after the alleged attack. The victim received immediate medical attention from the Shreveport Fire Department for the dental attack and is expected to make a full recovery.
