11-year-old boy killed in ATV accident in Mississippi

An 11-year-old boy was killed in an ATV accident in Moss Point, Mississippi on Saturday. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Griffin Street.

Police officials confirmed that the child struck a utility pole while attempting to avoid another vehicle. He was taken to Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, but eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was from Florida and was visiting his family in Mississippi at the time of his death.
