Child abduction investigation leads to arrest of 10-year-old in Evansville motel, suspect arrested

This morning at 10:30 a.m., members of the U.S. Marshal Service contacted the Evansville Police Department requesting assistance in investigating a child abduction case that led to Evansville, Wyoming.

The U.S. Marshals provided information related to the investigation involving the parental child abduction of a 10-year-old Texas girl in October 2023.

An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect. Police had been tracking 28-year-old Courtney Klein for several weeks before she entered Wyoming.

Evansville Police and Marshals worked together on a mission to safely rescue the child and arrest the suspect without incident at an Evansville motel.
