This is an initial weather warning for severe storms this evening, including large hail, strong winds and possibly tornadoes

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WMC) – A FIRST WEATHER WARNING DAY Severe storms are expected tonight and into the night. Scattered showers and storms will develop along a cold front in northeast Arkansas and northwest Tennessee around 7 or 8 p.m. and then move south through the area, ending around 2 a.m. The main risk is damaging winds, but heavy hail or tornadoes are also possible.

A TORNADO WATCH applies to Lauderdale, Dyer, Crockett, Mississippi and Cross counties until 11 p.m. Later this evening, this will likely be expanded to the rest of the area. Stay tuned and download the FIRST ALERT WEATHER APP for the latest severe weather information, warnings and advisories.

DAY OF MEMORIAL: Partly cloudy at first, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be in the mid-30s and minimum temperatures will be below 15 degrees overnight.

TUESDAY FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy every day with maximum temperatures between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius.
