One dead in police-involved shooting in Haskell County

According to preliminary information, a Haskell County officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of US-83/160 and US-56 in Sublette around 1:50 a.m. Sunday. The stop led to a chase during which the officer called for assistance. The offender’s vehicle turned east onto K-144 and attempted to make a U-turn, striking the officer’s vehicle and coming to a stop in the north ditch.
