Stabbing in parking lot in Texarkana

In a shocking turn of events, Texarkana police were called to the 2300 block of N. Stateline this afternoon on reports of a stabbing. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 1:36 p.m. following what appeared to be a lengthy altercation between several people in the business’ parking lot.

When police arrived, officers found a chaotic scene. However, through careful investigation, investigators were able to piece together the details of the altercation. It turns out that during the altercation, the victim was pursued into the street by a suspect armed with a knife. Tragically, after the pursuit, the victim was struck by a southbound vehicle on Stateline and sustained at least one stab wound to the neck.

The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. The victim’s condition is currently unclear, but hopes are that he will make a speedy recovery.

The police were able to quickly arrest the suspect on the scene and he now faces charges of grievous bodily harm.
