Part of I-70 closed due to storm damage, power outages reported | Mid-Missouri News

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation travel map, Interstate 70 is closed in both directions at mile marker 176 due to storm damage.

Mile marker 176 is located one mile east of New Florence in Montgomery County.

The damage was reported at 7:30 p.m. and repairs are expected to take four hours.

Power outages were reported in Morgan, Benton Counties

More than 1,000 Missouri residents are facing power outages as strong to severe storms move across the state starting Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives reports that 319 members of the Co-Mo Electric Cooperative in Morgan, Benton, Moniteau and Cooper counties are affected by outages.

Southwest Electric Cooperative in Benton County also reports 165 members in the county are without power.
