Fatal accident on the west side leaves two dead

INDIANAPOLIS – Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after two people were killed in a fatal crash on the west side Sunday morning.

According to IMPD, officers responded to a fatal accident in the 3500 block of Lafayette Road. Upon arrival, they found two victims who were then transported to area hospitals. According to IMPD, both victims died at the hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. FOX59/CBS4 will update this story as more information becomes available.
