15-year-old girl killed in golf cart crash in Rock Hill, police said – WSOC TV

ROCK HILL, SC — Rock Hill police say a 15-year-old died in a golf cart accident Thursday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., police responded to a crash involving a Honda CRV and a golf cart in the 4200 block of Laurel Creek Drive.

At the scene, officers were informed that there were six people on the golf cart that overturned upon impact. One of those people, a 15-year-old girl, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.

The county coroner identified the victim as Marlie Sullivan.

Three other drivers were taken to Piedmont Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

An investigation revealed that the golf cart was traveling north on Laurel Creek Drive when it collided with the Honda, which was traveling in the wrong lane, according to police.

The investigation into this accident is ongoing. The results of Sullivan’s autopsy and toxicology are pending.
