21-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash in Rohnert Park at Redwood Drive and Business Park Drive

ROHNERT PARK, CA (May 10, 2024) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Redwood Drive Wednesday evening.

According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred on May 8 around 10:30 p.m. According to reports, a northbound vehicle turned left onto Business Park Drive and entered the path of a southbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist then crashed into the side of the vehicle at the intersection of Redwood Drive and Business Park Drive.

Emergency crews transported the motorcyclist to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Authorities withheld the 21-year-old victim’s identity until next of kin were notified.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle and two passengers were also taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews temporarily closed the road to make room for an investigation. According to reports, alcohol was ruled out as the cause of the accident.

The RPDPS continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officials are asking anyone with further information to call (707) 584-2600 and refer to case 24-1483.
