Annan rapist’s victim vows he will ‘never hurt him again’ after thug sentenced to eight years in prison

The victim of an Annan rapist has vowed he will “never hurt again” after the thug was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Mateusz Misiewicz, 21, was found guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl in 2018 and subjecting a second woman to a horrific series of violent domestic and sexual abuse following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

Passing sentence at Aberdeen High Court last month, Judge Andrew Miller told Misiewicz that he would be on probation for a further two years after his release from prison, would be on the sex offenders’ register for life and would be banned from having any further contact with his victims.

The prison sentence was dated retroactively to June 2022, when Misiewicz was first taken into custody.

The judge added: “They were found guilty following a trial of the rape of a 15-year-old in September 2018 while drunk and incapable of consent, of abusive behaviour towards a second victim between February 2021 and May 2022, and of the rape and attempted rape of the second victim on several occasions during the same period, including while she was sleeping.”

“The crimes are extremely serious and worrying cases of sexual offences and abuse. A social worker’s report concludes that you are at high risk of committing further abuse and sexual offences, particularly against partners.”

Misiewicz’s second victim spent three hours on the witness stand testifying at his trial.

She said he made her believe they were “soul mates” while at the same time “torturing” her.
