One dead after motorcycle crash in Cambria County | WTAJ

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WTAJ) – One person was killed in an accident in Allegheny Township Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred near the 2000 block of Manor Drive at 5:15 p.m. on July 8. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said the accident occurred between a motorcycle and a John Deere sprayer.


Lees added that the motorcycle collided with the sprayer after it turned off a dirt road onto Manor Drive. The driver of the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9. The identity of the motorcyclist is not being released at this time.

All lanes of Manor Drive between Bovine Road, Munster Road and Kelly Drive were closed for an extended period of time as officers reconstructed the accident, but they have since reopened.

The Loretto Fire Department, Ebensburg EMS, Cambria County Coroner’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the scene.
