Teacher arrested for sexually abusing a three-year-old girl

The KG Halli police have registered a case against a pre-primary school teacher for allegedly sexually molesting a three-year-old girl at the school. The teacher has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

According to police, the child attended the private school in Anwar Layout, KG Halli on June 6. A few days later, she refused to go to school and when asked, she said she had pain in her private parts. When asked about the cause, the child reportedly replied, “It was the woman,” but did not mention the name of the teacher. The parents took her to Vani Vilas Hospital where she was treated and the doctors reportedly confirmed sexual abuse.

Based on the complaint, the police have filed a case against the teacher who taught the girl’s class. “The child is very young and it will take a lot of patience, time and skill to investigate the case. The investigation is underway,” said a senior police officer.
