Pulaski police are searching for a missing 33-year-old man

PULASKI, Va. (WDBJ) – Pulaski Police are searching for a missing 33-year-old man who was last seen on May 6th.

According to police, Paul Michael Hanks is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie or jacket, blue jeans and carrying a small backpack.

According to police, the last confirmed sighting of Hanks was around 7:45 a.m. Monday at the Food Lion at 1200 East Main Street in Pulaski.

Police believe Hanks may have been spotted around 9 a.m. Monday while walking on the New River Trail toward Hiwassee/Allisonia.

According to police, Hanks used to live near the trail and was known to visit nearby caves.
