Man in his 50s hit and killed in hit-and-run in Pacoima

A man in his 50s was struck and killed by a driver in Pacoima late Wednesday night.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 11900 block of Foothill Boulevard around 9 p.m. after learning of the incident.

The circumstances that led to the accident remain unclear, but when police arrived they found the victim lying on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No information has yet been provided regarding his identity.

They say the man, driving a green 2004 GMC Sierra pickup, was last seen fleeing north on Terra Bella Street. He is said to have a brown beard and mustache.
