Kenya Moore leaves The Real Housewives of Atlanta after suspension over alleged explicit photo scandal

The news comes after Kenya Moore allegedly showed explicit pictures of Eady at the opening of her hair salon.

Kenya Moore is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta after being suspended indefinitely from filming for allegedly posting explicit images of new cast member Brittany Eady. The reality star’s exit came after Bravo launched an investigation to look into the incident, and sources say the results led to her exit from the show.

According to sources close to production, Moore was told the news on Tuesday, June 25, and the decision came from the network. However, TMZ reported that Moore and the network mutually agreed to take a break from the series. Moore’s reps did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Moore appeared to address the news on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “#TEAMTWIRLFOREVER You are the best fans anyone could ask for. And I love you all so much. Forever and always.”

News of Moore’s exit comes after she was suspended from filming for allegedly showing explicit images of Eady during the opening of her new hair salon. The images showed Eady performing oral sex on an unnamed man, and an insider told PEOPLE that Moore retaliated after Eady allegedly threatened her co-star with the word “gun.”

However, a second source close to the production denied this, saying, “At no point was Kenya threatened with a weapon, nor was a weapon ever used during production.” Bravo launched an investigation to look into the incident, and the results led to Moore’s exit.

Moore joined RHOA in season five and was one of the main characters on the show, with the exception of season 11 when she was pregnant with her five-year-old daughter Brooklyn. She leaves RHOA as the one who has been on the show the longest.
