1 dead and 7 injured after shooting at Louisville club in Russell district, police say | News from WDRB

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — One person is dead and seven others are injured after a shooting at a Louisville nightclub early Saturday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD responded to a shooting at the H20 Lounge near 26th Street and Broadway around 1 a.m. When police arrived, they found a man who had been shot. According to EMS, he died at the scene.

Police also found a second person who had been shot. That victim was taken to University Hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries, according to LMPD.

Medical personnel from other hospitals in the area have informed police that six adults reported themselves for treatment following the shooting. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It is currently unknown whether there is a relationship between the victims.
