Investigation underway after bomb threat at Brookshire’s in Tyler | Local news

Authorities say an investigation is ongoing after a bomb threat was made at a Tyler grocery store on Wednesday.

Brookshire Grocery Co. confirmed that Brookshire’s on Roseland Boulevard in Tyler received a bomb threat Wednesday.

“Our store management team responded immediately, notified local law enforcement and evacuated the building,” the company said in a statement. “No materials were found and we are working with state and federal authorities in the investigation.”

“We are so grateful to our leaders and local heroes for responding quickly to ensure our business is safe. BGC’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees, partners and customers.”

The Tyler Morning Telegraph continues to seek further information from law enforcement. The city of Tyler is closed for the Juneteenth holiday.
