Two Baystate residents arrested for shoplifting in Cranston

Federal and state police have arrested two people in connection with this Cranston shoplifting incident after they attempted to flee and ran over a police officer’s foot.

The officer then fired his weapon.

Michael Campagna, 24, of South Boston, and Meagan O’Brien of Lynn were arrested at JFK Station.

Both are being held in Massachusetts and are awaiting transfer to Rhode Island.

At the time of the Cranston incident, both men had warrants for their arrest for shoplifting.

No word on when they will return to the state.
