1 dead after April crash in Georgetown County, South Carolina Highway Patrol says

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – A crash last month in Georgetown County left one person dead, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The collision occurred on April 25 at approximately 6:13 p.m. The accident occurred on Highway 17A, three miles south of Georgetown.


A 2004 Honda sedan traveling south on Highway 17 A left the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

The 2004 Honda sedan was the only vehicle involved in the accident. According to SCHP, there were two people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The driver and passenger were injured and taken to a local hospital by emergency services. The passenger later died in hospital.
