Teenager injured in car accident on Monday

Fayette County, Illinois – (Vandalia Radio) – A teenager was injured in a car crash in rural Vandalia on Monday.

According to Illinois State Police reports, Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to a traffic injury crash on US Route 40 at approximately 2:05 p.m. Monday afternoon. State police said the vehicle left the roadway on westbound US Route 40 near N. 350th Street and overturned. The driver – a 17-year-old female – was transported to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries.
