IMPD: Person shot and killed on the near NW side

INDIANAPOLIS – Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are responding to a report that a person was shot in northwest Indianapolis Sunday morning.

According to IMPD, a person was shot in the 2900 block of N. Warman Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim outside of a residence with injuries consistent with at least a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

According to IMPD, there is currently no suspect in custody and the cause of the shooting remains under investigation. Officers will speak with neighbors and community members to gather more information.
