“I had a really bad accident that really shook me up. Honestly, I’m glad I’m here,” said the MasterChef star, lifting his shirt to show some ugly body injuries from the accident.

He then taught his followers an important lesson: wear a helmet.

“I don’t care how short the ride is. I don’t care that these helmets cost money, but they are essential,” he said. “Even on short rides, the kids have to wear a helmet.”

He added: “I’m glad to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week, but I’m getting through it somehow,” Ramsay said.

“But I can’t tell you how important it is to wear a helmet.”

Ramsay said he is “fine” and has not broken any bones or suffered any major injuries. “But I am a little bruised and look like a purple potato. I am grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who took care of me and checked me over, but I am most grateful for my helmet which saved my life. Happy Father’s Day and stay safe, Gx
