Man shot at house party in northwest Las Vegas | Homicide

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a man was shot early Sunday outside a residence in northwest Las Vegas where a party had been taking place.

At 12:29 a.m., the department’s dispatch center received a call about a party in the 1800 block of Plantea Court, near West Oakey Boulevard. Minutes later, multiple reports of shots fired came in, police said in a news release.

When uniformed patrol officers arrived at the address, they found a man with a gunshot wound outside the residence. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The department’s homicide unit took over the investigation. The victim’s identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, the press release said.
