ROCKFORD, Illinois (WTVO) – A 40-year-old Rockford man was shot multiple times in a “domestic incident,” police said.

According to Rockford Police, officers were called to the 3100 block of Prial Avenue around 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.

Authorities said the victim suffered serious injuries in the shooting and was taken to a local hospital. His current condition is unknown.

Police said there was no danger to the public and added that no charges had been filed. No further details were released.
