A police official said Gautam was part of a tourist group that had travelled to Manali and reached the nearby village of Raison on Wednesday to try paragliding. The official said Gautam and his pilot fell during take-off. Gautam sustained critical injuries and was admitted to Kullu hospital where doctors declared him dead.
